February Revealed as the Best Month to List your Property

Data has revealed that February is the best month to list a property for sale, as homes listed within that month usually find a buyer the quickest. This will result in the property most likely being sold subject to contract. On average, homes listed in February have taken 51 days to find a buyer – just ahead of March’s 52 days. In addition, an average of 66.4% of homes listed in February have gone on to find a buyer – the best chance of finding a buyer alongside April – just pipping second placed March’s 66.3%.

In general, the spring months (March, April, May) tend to be most popular for listing properties. This could be due to a range of factors. During this time, the weather is improving in many places, which can make properties more appealing to potential buyers. Additionally, families often prefer to move during the summer months when children are out of school, so listing in the spring allows time for the sales process to unfold before the summer.
