Area of the Month - Mill End, Rickmansworth

To continue on our tour of the area, Harry Charles’ visits Mill End, a semi-rural suburb of Rickmansworth in Hertfordshire 

Mill End is surrounded by the sought after areas of Watford, Croxley Green, Harefield and Northwood.  Offering a good range of schools and green spaces, making it a great spot for families, particularly those with young children. It is reasonably close to London but offers some great options for affordable housing.

Mill End is next to the Rickmansworth Aquadrome, a 41 hectares public park and Local Nature Reserve, a haven for a variety of wildlife and plenty to offer with varies clubs, play area and a café, making it a fun and affordable day out for the family.  Another option if you are looking to keep the Children entertained, is the William Penn Sports Centre and George V playing fields, which offers a range of activities, such as a gym, pool, squash courts, football pitch and health suit.  Something to suit all ages and abilities.

Mill End community Centre is an asset to the area and really brings community together with great sense of community spirit. They hold workshops, community groups, health and well being classes, dance / performing arts classes. It has a community café, which offers affordable meal options and a great place to meet other residents of Mill End.

For weekend meandering, the antiques centre on the Uxbridge Road is a great place to explore for hidden furniture treasures. 

With affordable housing, surrounded by beautiful green space and a great community feel, we think Mill End is worth considering for anyone looking to relocate.
